So Dragonforce. Even though they're not Norse.

I own all their albums. I pre-ordered the newest one, and got a signed poster.
It burnt a hole in my wall.

That is exactly what I came in here to post. Dang, I should have found a video of Twilight of the Thunder God— oh, wait. This is the internet.

I love this band so much that I, too, have all their albums. I downloaded them all to my iPod. As soon as it was sync'ed, it turned into a flaming broadsword. I tried to hook it up to my car stereo to listen to it, and when I plugged it in, my car turned into a dragon. I had to slay an evil lich at the top of a blackened pyramid to make it to work this morning.
On a serious note, I miss the old guy, but their new singer has got a set of pipes!

I was mad when I heard that ZP left the band, but I think the new guy is better.
I also like Nightwish's new singer better, so there's that.

ZP always sounded like he was really reaching for that high register. The new fella', whose name escapes me because it isn't nearly as memorable as "ZP Theart", seems more at home in the kind of range this music demands.
On Nightwish: I always thought Tarja was a little over-hyped, anyway. I mean, talented young lady, yes, but not the be-all, end all of operatic metal vocalists that many people build her up to be.
An aside: are you listening to Blackguard at all? I'm rather taken with them at the moment.
